Warmer weather meant spontaneous water play with Ms. Maya.

Water play quickly turned into soaked clothes that had to be changed.

With three girls in the house, baby boy clothing is hard to come by.

When I picked up Anderson and Alekzander after work, 

Anderson was wearing an oversized, tie-dyed school t-shirt and a diaper,

and I do not think I had seen him much cuter.

He rocked the t-shirt while we played outside,

soaking up the sunshine on the first day of April.

An Affinity for Hats

 I do not know what it is about a Swistak boy in a hat, 

but it makes me swoon.  

Almost 15 years ago when I first laid eyes on "Stack,"

I fell in love with the tall boy in a raggedy hat.

I told my grandma and my mom

that I was going to marry that guy.

I did not know anything else about him - 

except that he {in my eyes} was a BMOC

and he looked good in a hat.

I probably saw his blue eyes, but I couldn't even take a guess

at his hair style or hair color for the first six months I 'knew' him

as he always wore a hat!

I have been obsessed with hats for my boys 

since Alekzander was a baby.

Kiddo wore a hat just about every day...

more for fashion than function.

Anderson went through a stage where he hated hats,

and I was crushed.

Now, I can get them both to wear a hat -

and keep it on for a while.

It may just be me, 

but I think they both {all} look adorable in hats!

I'll Teach My Son a lot of Words

Alekzander has always been a talker.  He wakes up talking {usually about some great idea} and often falls asleep talking.  I love it!  The other day, our sitter overheard her daughter and Alekzander playing ... she told me had said "Let's pretend..." about 100 times within 20 minutes. He was like a record that kept skipping.  In the few minutes I was home to eavesdrop, I heard it at least 10 times!  Always an idea, always an opinion or plan.  Love him!

We worried for a half-second that because Alekzander liked to talk so much, Anderson would not be interested in talking much {or have a chance to get a word in}.  It's quite the contrary... Anderson wants to talk just like his brother, so he repeats just about anything that "Buddy" says.  Anderson's receptive language continues to impress me everyday, but the words and phrases he's been saying lately is growing exponentially.
