A Ferry Adventure

Alekzander would have been happy to ride the ferry 

back and forth across the river all.day.long.  

He was so excited to be on the ferry,

{even though it was pretty cold and extremely windy}

but in his excitement, there was a touch of caution and a little fear. 

{It's a good reminder that the little towhead 

I still try to carry on my hip is, indeed, mine!}

Rescue Mommy was able to reassure him and make sure 

that neither he nor his hat blew away! 

The fear quickly receded on our return trip across the Neuse 

as he marched right up the steps to the enclosed {warm!} passenger viewing deck.

 Woah, wind!
